BMW Electrified Vehicle Sales Top 50,000 (2017 Sales Through July)

With a fairly broad "green" array — eclectic blend of attractive electrified vehicles — the BMW Group is apparently the world’s 3rd biggest plug-in car manufacturer. With the best ever July for BMW Group, the company's total plug-in car sales through July surpassed 50,000. "Year-to-date electrified sales increase 74.8% to 50,711," a press release from the Bavarian auto manufacturer stated


BMW 530e iPerformance Goes On Sale In Early 2017

In keeping with its stated "electrified vehicles" goal, BMW will be releasing a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle in early 2017, the BMW 530e iPerformance. The BMW 530e iPerformance is, as the name implies, an electrified 5 Series offering — one that will reportedly feature combined performance of 248 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque
