The electric revolution comes in various shapes and sizes. We are all very familiar with the intricacies of electric cars, but a category that sometimes gets overlooked is scooters. This may be because there hasn’t been an example that shines like a beacon of hope the way Tesla does. Until now, that is, and the scooter we are talking about today is the Etergo AppScooter.
Amsterdam-based electric scooter company Etergo was on a quest to build the manufacturing base for its fully electric AppScooter and just this week announced that a decision has been made. The company has partnered with experienced manufacturing company Technologies Added to build its scooter in its backyard (not literally!) in the Netherlands.
Innovative startup Etergo created the AppScooter to deliver the electric transportation experience of a Tesla, but rolled up into a much more compact scooter format. Zipping along from 0 to 45 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds gives drivers more smile per mile and another option for getting out of the way of traffic.
