A new 93 MWh Tesla Powerpack system installed in Alaska by the Homer Electric Association, Inc., will be used to directly offset electricity that would have otherwise required a peaker plant to fire up. The new battery pack will be installed at the Soldotna Power Plant (map), adjacent to the existing natural gas-fired GE LM 6000 turbine currently used to provide electricity to cover peak usage in the area.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced last month that version 3 of the Solarglass Roof was designed for high-volume production and installation. New job listings on Tesla’s Careers page this week reveal that the company is also ramping up its efforts on the installation side of the equation, with numerous job listings and hiring events for new Tesla Solarglass installers across the country.

Reuters has reported that Walmart and Tesla have settled their lawsuit. The lawsuit Walmart filed back in July claimed that Tesla solar panels caught fire on the roof of 7 stores in the United States. On Monday, November 4th, 2019, a court filing showed that Walmart voluntarily discontinued without prejudice. In other words, Walmart dropped the lawsuit.
Tesla is now selling Powerwalls practically at cost in certain regions in response to California’s devastating fires.
I published an article in my TSLA FUD series on October 23rd about what I was hoping to see from the Tesla 3rd quarter shareholder call. I stated before any earnings were released that I was far less concerned about the actual per-share earnings and much more interested in a set of bullet points regarding where Tesla was with various upcoming projects. Later that day, Tesla reported earnings and they were widely regarded as a home run by analysts.
