New Nissan LEAF Coming Early In 2018, Reserve Now & Receive Special Gift (Nissan Pushing…

It’s that time of the year, and the offers are rolling in. The 2018 Nissan LEAF is decidedly different from what we have seen in earlier years — not only the specs, but also the design is dynamically changed. I love the old models. Still, I can’t wait to sit inside one of the “Simply Amazing” 2018 LEAFs and compare. Nissan is advertising the car more heavily now, including sending e-blasts to those of us signed up for Nissan newsletters. One we got today read: RESERVE NOW | $29,990 STARTING MSRP AFTER TAX CREDIT AS LOW AS $22,490 ON A QUALIFIED LEAF.

Tesla Keeps Crushing, Chevy Bolt Keeps Climbing, Nissan LEAF Hangs In (US Electric Sales Report)

I love doing the US electric car sales report at the end of each quarter. With Tesla’s quarterly figures published, Tesla registration data from Europe and China mostly logged, my estimates for the first two months of the quarter, and a little more estimating (Australia, UAE, etc.), I’m able to check out the remainder I have left for Tesla sales in the last month of the quarter. As has happened nearly every time before, the figure that resulted for US sales in that third month of the quarter actually looked logical, so I left all previous months as initially projected.

Dramatic Changes In EV Market In Past 5 Years, & What Will Drive Mainstream Adoption

What would it take to get a person to buy an electric car? The debate rages about range, environmental issues, performance, size, looks, and repair issues. All important topics, but what’s occurred in just 5 years? In 2011 practically zero EVs were available. Five years later, Nissan has sold a quarter million, Tesla has roughly 200,000 sold and 500,000 ordered, and the Chevy Bolt appears to be selling about 1,000 a month. The Fiat 500E sells in the tens of thousands despite CEO Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Chief Executive, Sergio Marchionne, begging people not to purchase his car. Don’t even mention the EV capital of the world, China.
