Sources close to the Trump administration have reportedly said that the President is set to sign a sweeping order that would dramatically reduce the role climate change plays in decisionmaking across the US government.
As noted in an article earlier today, Steve Bannon reportedly said in 2013: “Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.” He apparently described himself as a Leninist to Ronald Radosh, an adjunct fellow at the Hudson Institute. There seems to be a lot of evidence Bannon was telling the truth in that case.
Shortly after Donald Trump was sworn in as president on Friday, the White House said that eliminating power plant climate rules, a clean water rule and other environmental regulations would “greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years.”
Within hours of Donald Trump swearing the oath of office, his new Administration had wiped all signs of President Obama, renewable energy, and climate-related policies from the official White House website, signalling what many feared would be a purge of all the work President Obama did for the environment.
