It takes the best of parent company Volvo’s combustion technology and augments it with electric motors, batteries, controllers, and in-car tech for an experience that pulls drivers into the fully electric future.

Tesla still dominated the top 20, with 15 out of 20 stories, but it was an interesting phenomenon to see the company almost pushed out of the top 3.

The focus of the article was its pricing, which is surprisingly high. Yet again, it seems that a new “Tesla killer” just doesn’t compete with Tesla vehicles, even though it is a nice addition to the EV market and deserves solid sales.

Volvo electric vehicle offshoot Polestar has taken a massive step towards putting its vehicles into the hands of customers with the opening of its first factory in Chengdu, China. The commissioning of the new factory comes as the company announces the start of production of its flagship hybrid Polestar 1 vehicle.
