With all that to offer, the good news is that, beyond beauty, the North Carolina coast offers an opportunity for clean energy and green careers, invaluable technical and service jobs in the renewable energy sector.

As the worldwide coronavirus lockdown stormed all nations’ economies throughout the month of April, the car industry witnessed a near complete shutdown of unprecedented proportions. The extent of it is clearly shown in Italy’s car sales for the month, which were down a jaw-dropping 97.5% year over year. This was widely anticipated since a severe lockdown began in March and the market started its precipitous descent, but it is dramatic nonetheless.
Pipeline giant Kinder Morgan is cutting a 400-mile line across the middle of Texas, digging up vast swaths of private land for its planned Permian Highway Pipeline. The project is ceaseless, continuing through the coronavirus pandemic. Landowner Heath Frantzen said that dozens of workers have showed up to his ranch in Fredericksburg, even as public health officials urged people to stay at home.
Tesla has been working to expand its ever-growing Supercharger network. And even better — the charging speeds (witness V3) continue to improve. Over the years, Tesla’s tech has allowed its chargers to “fill up” its battery packs faster and faster. And new Superchargers are being built every week. Has this become an edge for the Silicon Valley automaker?
Electric cars and recycling are made for each other. Northvolt and others are working today on the battery anhd motor recycling systems of tomorrow.
