LMX 161-H Electric Motocross Motorcycle — Fun Without The Bloat (CleanTechnica Interview)

October 28th, 2017 | by Nicolas Zart

I recently spoke to Adam Mercier, the co-founder of a brilliant concept called the LMX 161-H. The LMX project consists of a light frame with a battery pack and electric motor for the best weight–performance ratio. After all, isn't this the promise of electric vehicles (EV) — efficiency, power, fun, and freedom of choice? I'm eagerly waiting for a test ride on the LMX 161-H, and walked away from the interview feeling the Colin Chapman spirit is well and alive today

Kia Soul EV Review (CleanTechnica Exclusive)

October 28th, 2017 | by Kyle Field

I recently reached out to Kia to see if I could spend some quality time with the Kia Soul EV. It is a funky-looking vehicle that packs a surprising 93 miles of range. As a first-generation EV for Kia, that speaks to the brand’s desire to deliver a product that packs the most bang for the buck for its customers. Having said that, the Kia Soul EV does fall short compared to the generation of new electric vehicles hitting showroom floors today, like the Hyundai Ioniq with its 124 miles of range and the Chevy Bolt at 238 miles of range

October 28th, 2017 | by Kyle Field

Trevor from the Tesla Model 3 Owners Club reached out to us for a sneak peak at a video they put together that dives deep into just about every nook and cranny of a brand new, first-run Pearl White Tesla Model 3 Long Range. To do the video justice, we broke the video out into 3 segments that cover roughly 20 minutes each. Following up on Steve's article, I will be diving into the interior and touchscreen details, and then Zach will dive into control stalks, the keycard & app, windshield wipers, driving experience, and a bit more

Tesla Model 3 Owners Club Deep Dive Into The Tesla Model 3 (Part 1) — Hot!

October 27th, 2017 | by Steve Hanley

Trevor Page of the Model 3 Owners Club contacted us here at CleanTechnica a few days ago to say he and YouTube co-host Kenneth Bokor had secured the use of a Tesla Model 3 for two days. They were free to drive the car, probe its intricate bits inside and out, photograph it, take videos, and measure things. They sent over a 1 hour and 10 minute video of the details. The only restriction put on us was that we could not share the video or embed it into a story until after Tesla announced that regular production of the Model 3 had officially begun. Naturally, we agreed to Trevor’s terms and conditions

The Core Problem With US Policies

October 26th, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

Hello, my name is Zach Shahan, and I have a problem. I'm a political nut. More seriously, I'll admit that I'm strongly drawn to politics, follow policy & politics closely (some might say obsessively), and have sometimes struggled with how much time and emotion I invest into all of that

Polish EV Policy Deep Dive With Kuba Stęchły (CleanTechnica Interview)

October 26th, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

Moving back west after interviewing some great EV charging leaders in Ukraine (see this interview and this interview), the article below features expert commentary from our friend Jakub (Kuba) Stęchły, who has had multiple roles in the e-mobility transition underway in Poland. ?? He is currently ... emperor of MaaS ... ?? You may recognize him as the dude I drove to Paris and back with in a Tesla Model S. Even after talking with Kuba for days, I found the answers below provided me with a wealth of new information, insight, and interesting points

Getting ready for our big EV charging conference in Warsaw in a few weeks, I've been interviewing leading EV charging execs and entrepreneurs who will be presenting, participating in roundtable discussions, and contributing to our white paper on EV charging guidelines for cities. Well worth the read!

Busting Electric Car Myths In Costa Rica & Globally (CleanTechnica Video)

October 25th, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

In Amsterdam earlier this year for EVBox's first annual rEVolution conference, one of the presenters was TED Talker, Latin American EV super advocate, and CleanTechnica reader Monica Araya. She gave a wonderful presentation on breaking down electric vehicle myths in Costa Rica, more broadly across Latin America, and even more broadly across the world. The presentation is definitely worth a watch, so have at it!

Tesla Model 3 Photos Flooding Instagram — Florida, Texas, New York, Ohio (+ Interesting Employee Car Agreement Details Leaked)

October 23rd, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

In the past month, we've gotten multiple reports of Tesla Model 3s rolling around the streets of Florida, Texas, New York, and even Canada. Tesla staff, SpaceX staff, and reportedly Tesla engineers at certain stores needing to get familiar with the cars have been receiving early units. I finally decided to go grab some Model 3 spy shots from Instagram and Twitter in order to share the excitement here ... and I discovered that numerous new Model 3 photos have been hitting instagram in the past several hours

Tryin’ To Make The World A Better Place — Help Us

October 23rd, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

We sometimes get carried away just covering what interests us, following our passions, and pursuing our obsessions. I think that's often quite useful — the stuff that interests us often interests you. However, the core aim of the site and one of my core life goals has long been to help make the world a better place, or "help society help itself" as I often put it
