Tesla’s Veiled Swipe At The Chevy Bolt

When I was going through the Q4 2017 Tesla shareholder letter for a recent article, what might seem like a minor comment caught my attention. Tesla wrote, “We incorporated all the learnings from the development and production of Roadster, Model S, and Model X to create the world’s first mass market electric vehicle that is priced on par with its gasoline-powered equivalents – even without incentives.”

Poland is quite far from being a leader in the rEVolution and we normally get overly excited when things, even small ones, move in the right direction — EV enthusiasts go as far as to celebrate openings of EV charging stations!

So much the more, I was amazed to learn that one of the Polish metropolises, Katowice, is planning to purchase 300 electric buses and very little is said about it in the press or social media.

We humans have a tendency to stare at one tree and forget about the forest, let alone the even broader world around the forest. For example, we perhaps look at our president and think it’s the end of our country, when it’s really just a 3-point drop in our level of democracy*. When it comes to the restless tech world and our various consumer product addictions, this is certainly true as well. Is Tesla immune to that? Quite the opposite.
