2015 Nissan Leaf — 1 Year Review

It’s been just over one year since our long-term review of a 2015 Nissan Leaf started (~4 articles/month). The EV is still smooth, and jazzy, like Bossa Nova. The city I live in has a wonderful charging infrastructure, which I’ve raved about and been thankful for. However, Nissan dealerships often have other cars or SUVs in the charging spots. (Some possible advice on that one — pull around to the back if the spot in the front it blocked. You may find one by the service station. Also, even if the dealership doesn’t have a public charging station, the service station probably does.)

A new joint venture has formed that will develop a high-power, EV fast-charging network in Europe has been signed by BMW, Daimler, Ford, and Volkswagen Group (including Audi and Porsche). In other words, these major auto companies are looking to finally catch up to Tesla on one of the most critical components of a healthy and vibrant electric vehicle ecosystem.

The lobbyists behind the Tesla + CEO Elon Musk attack website StopElonFromFailingAgain.com have reportedly been identified. While it was already public knowledge that the group “Citizens for the Republic” was backing the website, it wasn’t clear that board members Craig Shirley and Diane Banister are integral parts of the public relations firm Shirley and Banister Public Affairs.
