Tesla vs Bolt … China’s HUGE 2017 Electric Car Sales … Renault Zoe Wins Europe…

The hottest CleanTechnica story of the past week was, no surprise, a Tesla-related story. It initially seemed to be a rather humble, inconspicuous, unpretentious but interesting reflection of Steve’s time driving and riding in the Tesla Model S, Tesla Model X, and Chevy Bolt in the Middle East during a 2018 Global EVRT adventure, but then it blew up and is now approaching 200,000 views. The European passenger plug-in market ended the 2017 season with a near record performance, growing 11% compared to the same period last year by registering some 33,700 units, just a whisker below the all-time record of December 2015 (33,827) — which, let’s not forget, was inflated by fiscal changes that happened in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark in January 2016.

1st New TX London Electric Taxi Handed Over To London Cabbie

There is a contented smile of satisfaction on David Harris’s face as he looks over his stunning, quiet taxi, considered the world’s most advanced electric taxi. Black cab driver David Harris was the first cabbie to receive the keys to LEVC’s (London EV Company’s) new TX electric taxi. His first fare-paying passenger had the pleasure of smooth top-of-the-line transit. Besides the significant environmental savings, there is fresher air inside and out. I am sure the ride is considerably smoother than the norm as well.

Harris, a former professional tennis player, has been a driver for 21 years. He expects to save several hundred pounds a month in overall running costs versus his old diesel cab.
