Elon Musk Announces Plaid Performance Upgrade To Tesla Model S, X, & Roadster!

Elon tweeted earlier in the evening a clear reference to both Spaceballs and Tesla’s upcoming power boost for the coming Tesla Roadster: “The only thing beyond Ludicrous is Plaid.” In a followup tweet, he noted that the Plaid option would be available on the Model S and Model X as well as the Roadster.

When Marques Brownlee noted that we are going to need details, Elon replied “Soon.” Tantalizing.

My Car Expenses The 15 Years Before Tesla

I’ve had an obsession with financial software for some time, something that I probably inherited from my father. I remember when we got our first Apple II in 1978 and he used it for investments and budgeting. When he moved to an IBM PC (which I bought for him at a discount since I was an IBM employee from 1984 to 1998), he fell in love with Managing Your Money. I moved to Quicken in the mid 1990s. I’m trying to spend less time tracking my finances and more time writing, so I’m moving to more cloud-based methods of tracking my finances. But I noticed that I had 15 years of data on my auto spending available as part of this obsession. I didn’t have it easily tied to my 7 cars, but don’t think of this as a review of any car, but as a general survey of the fuel, maintenance, and repair cost for 7 cars over about 400,000 miles.

How Owning A Tesla Or Other EV Affects Hurricane Planning

I’ve lived in Tampa for almost 30 years and have owned EVs for 7½ hurricane seasons, so I thought with Dorian coming to visit Florida that I should write an article on how having an EV changes your hurricane planning. Last year was different from previous years, because I had a Tesla, and this year is different again, because I don’t have a gas car (but my daughter lives 10 miles away and has a Ford C-Max, so I could use that).

Tesla Has Great Potential In Asia Beyond China

In this article, I want to discuss Tesla’s potential to grow in the Asian market. Everybody knows China is a huge opportunity since it is both the largest auto market in the world and it seems to get pretty good support from the government, which seems to be trying to address the air pollution issue in the country, but I wanted to look at the size of all the rest of Asia.

E For Electric Posts Video Of First Drive Of Byton M-Byte

The M-Byte uses batteries from CATL, one of the largest battery manufacturers in the world, and since CATL is an investor in only one car company (Byton), I don’t think it will leave the company starving for batteries like many manufacturers are when they have a hit on their hands. Although I plan to buy a Tesla Model Y, if this car comes through as good as it sounds, I might buy one as a second car.
