We’re down to less than two months to go for the Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA) annual Tesla raffle. This year (their eighth year of Tesla raffling!) they’re giving away a Tesla Model X (drool) and as always, the raffle ticket sales support the incredible and important work ISEA does, as proceeds will directly benefit ISEA’s mission of solar education and advocacy.

Enter the Tesla raffle here!

Last fall ISEA proudly helped the passage of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), which ensures a continued stable renewable energy market in Illinois. CEJA is already accelerating Illinois’ transition to clean energy, which makes the Tesla Model X raffle all the more important.

Reliable, renewable, and affordable energy is within our grasp. Yet it’s fair to say it’s been a rough couple of years for many organizations, including ISEA, with the economic stoppage of the global pandemic on top of facing everyday challenges. Though, ISEA is determined to continue with its mission of educating the public about solar energy.

When ISEA chose to raffle off a Tesla Model X, it selected one of the safest SUVs ever made. Without getting too technical, the Model X has high-strength architecture and a floor-mounted battery pack for incredible occupant protection and low rollover risk. The body, chassis, restraints, and battery technology provide a very high likelihood that you’ll experience the best ride you’ve ever had in an automobile. Electric vehicles, just like solar energy, are crucial parts of the journey toward a more sustainable world. And you could win an EV (a really, really cool one at that) by entering the raffle.

The climate emergency is growing more urgent with each passing day. Fossil fuel companies with massive advertising and lobbying budgets are spending heavily to protect their business interests even while the evidence mounts that burning fossil fuels is leading directly to an overheating planet.

The Illinois Solar Education Association will put the proceeds of this year’s raffle to work to educate our citizens and political leaders about the benefits of renewable energy. Please help us with this important mission by supporting this year’s raffle.

The cost is $100 per ticket, or four for $300. Only 2500 raffle tickets will be sold. The contest runs until April 19th, 2022, and the drawing will be held on April 22nd, 2022. So don’t hesitate – the clock is ticking to get your tickets to win a Tesla Model X!

About ISEA: The group is two sister non-profit organizations – the Illinois Solar Energy Association and the Illinois Solar Education Association. Together they promote the widespread application of solar and other forms of renewable energy through the mission of advocacy and education. Founded in 1975, ISEA is the state resource for renewable energy-related policy developments, educational classes, events, and access to local renewable energy businesses.

Raffle rules: There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased. You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. If fewer than 2,300 tickets are sold, then the raffle converts to a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are only valid if sold in the continental US.
