Peugeot’s New 330-Kilometer e-Traveler Electric Van
The electric van space has been dominated by a few models for many years. In the past few years, we’ve seen some new entrants try to break in, but one particular announcement this month looks especially promising.
A few of the biggest electric vans of the past decade have been the Nissan e-NV200, Renault Kangoo EV, and Peugeot Partner EV. Peugeot is now offering a new, bigger electric van, the Peugeot e-Traveler.
There are two battery options for the e-Traveler: 1) 50 kWh, 18 modules, 2) 75 kWh, 27 modules. The latter offers a range of 330 km (205 miles), according to the WLTP rating system.
The e-Traveler comes with a similar drivetrain to the new Peugeot e-208 electric car and Peugeot e-2008 electric SUV. “Based on the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) multi-energy modular platform, the PEUGEOT e-Traveller offers maximum power of 100 kW and maximum torque of 260 N·m available from start-up.”
The e-Traveler can be had in three different lengths — Compact, Standard, or Long — but it’s not clear yet what those lengths actually are. It can seat up to 9 people.
The e-Traveller offers 3 driving modes from its mode selector:

- Eco (60 kW, 180 N·m): for maximum range,
- Normal (80 kW, 210 N·m): optimal for everyday use, and
- Power (100 kW, 260 Nm): optimizes performance when transporting several people and luggage.
Performance in POWER mode is:

- Maximum speed of 130 km/h
- 0 to 100km/h in 13.1s
- 1000m standing start in 35.8 s
- Acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h in 12.1 s
You can get a 7.4 kW single-phase charger or pay more for an 11 kW three-phase charger.
The e-Traveler is not yet available on Peugeot’s UK website or even the French one, but it should be on there soon.
