It’s Independence Day and right now the neighbors are blasting fireworks and having cookouts. Americans all over are taking part. Whether you’re watching the fireworks at home or taking the night off, it is important to take a moment to just be grateful that we are all here and have this chance to be here, free.

The folks over at Tesla aren’t the only ones on Twitter celebrating the holiday. Many Tesla owners from across the country are taking part in their own events, Tesla style.

Erik on Twitter met up with several members of the Denver Tesla Club to organize this patriotic photoshoot. Zack Schiel organized the event and shared a few photos of his own.

It was a beautiful Tesla-style tribute that captures the essence of the American spirit.

A great way to celebrate our nation is to support businesses, such as Tesla, that empower Americans. Tesla is doing this not only by employing tens of thousands of Americans, but also by leading the charge into the future of electric transportation. In fact, due to Tesla’s incredible market value, many have been calling Tesla a part of the New Big Three, along with GM and Ford.

A 2016-2017 chart from Statista shows the data behind the New Big Three at the time. Back then, Tesla was comparable in market cap, but was significantly behind in sales numbers and revenue. In the last year, that has changed as Tesla’s valuation fell, but sales and revenue have climbed. In the second quarter of 2019, Tesla sold 95,200 Model 3s. Tesla is the essence of the American spirit.

Through hard work and perseverance, the team behind Tesla has created an amazing line of products that are helping it to achieve its foundational mission of accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

Americans should also be proud of Tesla because it is building cars in China. To many, this may seem insignificant or even trivial, but Tesla being in China is actually working towards the primary goal of the company: to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

China has over a billion people in its total population — much larger than the 330 million people that live here in the United States. That translates to a larger opportunity to make a positive impact on air quality.

As it sells more and more vehicles each year, Tesla’s positive carbon impact will continue to expand. Looking out ten years from now, our air will be much cleaner than it is today, thanks to Tesla.

So as you celebrate our Independence Day, remember that Tesla is celebrating with you. Have a happy and safe 4th of July everyone!
