How is Plug&Charge Moving Charging Forward?
In addition to his Director role, Sidles is Hubject’s resident Plug&Charge expert. In this webinar he will provide an overview of how the system works and discuss why it’s such an important advancement in EV charging infrastructure. Sidles will also explain how its capabilities will drive EV adoption and empower many additional enhancements and features for automakers and utilities.
Plug&Charge, otherwise known as ISO/IEC 15118, is a robust communication protocol that will dramatically simplify charging by eliminating the need for apps, RFID cards, and credit cards to access chargers.
In addition to creating the best user experience for charging, the advanced communication protocol paves the road for smart charging, bi-directional charging, inductive charging and enhancements needed for autonomous driving.
The technology already has the support of major industry players like VW, BMW, and Daimler, among many others. Barton will also be discussing recent Greenlots and Electrify America partnerships.
