e.GO Mobile Partners With Cubic Telecom To Launch EV With Advanced Connectivity
EV startup e.GO Mobile is partnering with Cubic Telecom, a global connectivity platform company, to produce a specialized electric car with advanced connectivity. The e.GO Life will be launched in April this year, with pre-orders already sold out.
Cubic Telecom’s connectivity platform, which it has termed PACE, will provide the ability to monitor the vehicle and its important components remotely, and in real-time. Battery levels, telematics, and available charging stations are some of the information that can be managed via the platform. The PACE platform is already used worldwide in more than 2 million other vehicles.
“Electric vehicles are set to secure a strong foot-hold in the future of driving. e.GO is forward-thinking and it is exciting to be part of the innovation involved in delivering such a sustainable solution to the market,” said Barry Napier, CEO of Cubic Telecom.
For Achen-based startup e.GO, the partnership with Cubic Telecom is a major step forward before the debut of the e.GO Life this year. After delays last year due to problems with suppliers, the company’s deal with Cubic Telecom is a sign that it is back on track.
