New Tesla Shuttle Website For USA

As some of you know, a few friends and I launched a city-to-city “Tesla Shuttle” network in Europe a year and a half ago. At some point last year, one of those guys suggested, “Hey, why don’t we open up our platform for other Tesla owners around the world who would like to shuttle passengers on routes in their regions?”

Hmm, why didn’t I think of that?

When I moved back to the US, we got a trial running. We published an article about the idea and saw how many people bit. We got emails from more than 100 interested operators (“Indies” as we call them) from that first article. There appeared to be interest. (Additionally, tens of thousands of people read the article.)

However, we were really just testing the waters back then. We had to see how this idea worked in practice.

We got a few operators/Indies lined up and added to our system. It didn’t take long to notice some issues. The domain we originally set up was an EU domain, which confused people. Pricing was in euros. Polish was default for the chat module. Mixing European cities and American cities in the booking module … wasn’t ideal. There were other matters, but I won’t go on. More importantly, though, people were excited about the concept and customers loved the service.

With growing operator interest in the US, we needed a new website, a new domain, and a new booking module. We set one up last month and started working through the bugs. This weekend, we finished getting everything ready for a fresh launch. And here we are!

The new domain — TeslaShuttle.co — is live and ready to roll. If you’re interested in booking a city-to-city (often city-to-airport or airport-to-city) shuttle in a Tesla vehicle on one of our currently available routes, go ahead and give it a shot!

We’ll also be adding several new routes soon. Stay tuned if you don’t see service in regions that interest you.

Additionally, if you’re interested in joining as a Tesla Shuttle operator (like with Lyft or Uber, you use your own car), feel free to drop us a note. Our email is: info@tesla-shuttle.eu
