#Pravduh About #Tesla — 3 Month Review Of Top Publishers

As promised in last week’s #Pravduh about #Tesla report, here is a breakdown of all the publishers we track and how their coverage has changed over the past 3 months. We were also planning to release a breakdown of the authors. However, since this article is already quite long, we decided to postpone that till next week.

What this breakdown makes clear is that there are definitely some unnecessarily negative news sources out there. One thing that will become clearer with the release of the author breakdown next week is that larger publishers like Bloomberg and Business Insider have many authors, with some very positive and some very negative, with the results influenced by who publishes more stories.

Reuters has been an interesting case. Its pieces are republished widely, and we don’t track republished pieces. Also, Reuters has only one author on the top 50 most published authors list, currently taking the 37th place. This is because Reuters often assigns stories to different authors, or simply receives reporting from different journalists around the world. This seems to result in less deep knowledge about the overall subject but also less prejudice. Compared to some really severe “hit pieces” that the New York Times, Business Insider, Bloomberg, the CNBC, and others have published, Reuters is doing quite well with a neutrality score close to 0.
