What Would You Ask Elon Musk & Tesla On The Q3 Earnings Call?
Tesla is moving its earnings call from the beginning of November to Wednesday, October 24. This is going to be a historic earnings call for Tesla for multiple reasons. The first one is because the last time this happened was in Q3 2016, when Tesla beat the expectations by a whopping 21%. The second reason is because Tesla might be announcing profitability (or at least near profitability) marking a turning point in Tesla’s business strategy and abandoning the “risk the company” strategies it has relied on until now.
During last quarter’s earnings call, CleanTechnica got the chance to ask some questions as well. While there is no guarantee that we will get that chance again, we are hopeful and this time we have been preparing.
Several other authors here at CleanTechnica and I feel like kids who wants to get lots of cookies out of the Tesla cookie jar but are only allowed a few. Our original list had more than 40 questions. There is so much we want to know, so much our readers and all Tesla fans would like to know. Some things Tesla doesn’t want to announce yet, some things it wants to spread out over time, only giving us a crumb trail in the meantime. We have questions Elon Musk and Tesla might not mind answering and questions they’d probably want to stay silent on, so will probably focus on the former in order to maximize new information.
When we wrote our questions, we had two criteria in mind. First of all, the questions should be interesting, providing us with cool new information to analyze for the whole upcoming quarter. The other key quality is that they need to be questions we think Elon Musk will answer, which unfortunately leaves most Model Y questions off the table.
While keeping all of that in mind, we would now like your input. Which questions do you think we should ask if we get the chance? We’re dropping two survey questions here for you to answer. One includes our refined, consolidated list, and the other included the full list of original questions.

Also, if you have any exceptional questions that fit the criteria that you think we should consider, write them in the comments below!
