These Wunderkinds Have Turned The Commercial Solar Market On Its Head

Wunder Capital* offers investors a sustainable investment opportunity which allows people to invest their money for good – which is pretty cool. Just as importantly, Wunder is using these funds to revolutionize the commercial solar industry.

These Wunderkinds Have Turned The Commercial Solar Market On Its Head

Wunder finances small and midsize business’ solar energy projects (from about $100k to $5M), which community and traditional banking institutions avoid because of the complexity. Not only is this moving the needle when it comes to the solar market, it’s proving to be a very successful model, and it has seen huge growth and impact over the past year.

Wunder has just released its 2018 Mid-Year review. Some of the highlights include the following:

  • All Wunder funds have met their annual return targets!**
  • 48 financings were completed, totaling 33 MW of new solar capacity!
  • Wunder investors financed enough new solar in 2017 to offset 32+ million pounds of coal burned in their first year of production alone!
  • It is on pace to exceed $2B of distributed commercial solar project demand in 2018.

Over the past year it has seen both its average investment amount and the number of Wunder investments committed nearly double, up 78% and 89% respectively — a result that is good for them and good for investors. Its goal is to grow commercial solar financing to 250 MW on an annual run rate basis.
