Just as a super quick note for those who have been eagerly waiting for an all-wheel drive Tesla Model 3 or a high-performance Tesla Model 3, the news is that Tesla will start inviting people to order these versions of the Model 3 next week.

Aside from the one-year wait on a Model 3 with air suspension, there’s no new info on when a base Model 3 (you know, the $35,000 one) will be available. As I’ve said before, I think Tesla could get absolutely slammed for a long delay on that version, but whether that could make a dent in Tesla’s brand is uncertain.

My Model 3 order page still shows the base Model 3 as targeted for late 2018.

What about interior colors and materials beyond the all-black interior you have to get if you want to order one today? Who knows?

Update: Model 3 production with the white interior will begin in July:
