Syracuse Airport Envisions 13% Teslas At Airport Pickup/Dropoff, Amsterdam Airport = Almost 100% Today
Syracuse International Airport got a bit of support from Tesla fans recently when it was spotted that a rendering of a passenger pickup/dropoff area included two Tesla cars (a Model S and a Model 3). Looking at the entire rendering, that gave Tesla a 13% share of the 4-wheeled human movers.
Kudos to @SyracuseAirport for their vision of the future being full of @Tesla EVs!

Pretty cool, eh? An airport with a more electric vision of the future.
Actually, I think that may also be a Volt far up on the left, which would bring the EV market share to 20% in the rendering.
Unfortunately, I had just been somewhat spoiled when someone sent this tweet over to me. I had just been in and out of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. As you may have seen by now, the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport taxi fleet is dominated by electric vehicles, mostly Tesla vehicles. Here are a few pictures and a video I shot in March:
It’s cool to see that the people who created the Syracuse Airport rendering added in a few electric cars, and one could expect that’ll be a decent representation of the market before too long, but genuine EV leadership can already do so much more. It doesn’t take much to incentivize individuals or companies to switch to smoother, quieter, higher performance, lower maintenance, lower emission cars. In fact, one of the biggest factors in stimulating the switch is just bringing those EV benefits to the attention of more people. Amsterdam has done a superb job in that case. Hopefully Syracuse will try to become an EV leader as well.
