Electric bicycles and electric scooters with some pretty fun and even outrageous designs have been spun out there, and today’s pick of the litter is no exception. The TRIPL Urban Cargo funky e-scooter blends the lines, offering cargo space elegantly.

E-Scooters With Cargo Space

TRIPL Urban Cargo e-scooterWhen it comes to e-scooters, we pretty much cover it all, including a test ride this month of the iZip e3Dash (stay tuned for that). So far, GenZe has been the only to have designed its original e-101 and now its e-201/2 improved e-scooter series with significant cargo capacity in mind, as well as an impressive connected feature (at least, for its time). The GenZe 2.0 boasts an exoskeleton that wraps around the rider and its cargo in an intelligent way protecting its operator and cargo. This TRIPL Urban Cargo e-scooter obviously goes another step to bring on cargo, something fleet operators will welcome.

TRIPL is a Danish-drafted electric platform from Govecs, a German electric scooter manufacturer. This e-scooter was really designed as a cargo mover with a highly robust platform to make it fast, agile, and perfect for city traffic. With a high degree of accessibility, the company hopes to offer potential carriers more options as well as help relieve traffic in cities.

The TRIPL scooter offers a very spacious cargo area that can easily accommodate big grocery bags, boxes, or something more unusual. A neat feature TRIPL decided to include in its e-scooter is the ability to make its cargo module flexible and have it customized and configured as needed. In other words, it can be used as a heating or cooling module — even a freezer — depending on the needs of the fleet operating it. TRIPL wisely offers a variety of modules for the toolbox compartment.

Who Is The TRIPL Urban Cargo E-Scooter For?

Although we could think of many who would welcome the TRIPL in their garage as grocery movers, the Urban Cargo is really meant for fleets that will use it for delivery services — from post and parcels to urgent medical deliveries. We could definitely see a grocery ice cream TRIPL e-scooter in our neighborhood in the summertime. Its wide practicality, focus on efficiency, ergonomics, low overall operating costs, and zero emissions make it an appealing choice for cities banning diesels, for instance.

Electric mobility has opened up a world of possibility barely expressed so far in the early stages of EV design. Tomorrow’s EVs will probably be more bold and audacious. The TRIPL Urban Cargo e-scooter is certainly an intelligent addition to many a fleet owner, whether operating in dense cities, college campuses, or sprawling suburbs. And hey, why not for personal ownership as well?
