Cleantech Open Applications Are Now Open
Cleantech Open is the oldest and largest cleantech startup accelerator program in the US, with a mission to find, fund, and foster entrepreneurs with ideas to solve our greatest environmental and energy challenges across multiple regions in the United States and beyond. Cleantech Open has recently partnered with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) as well, which is now running the world’s largest clean technology accelerator program.
Since 2006, Cleantech Open has worked with over 1,300 early stage cleantech innovators, helping them develop their business models, engage investors, and secure first customers. Each year, as many as 250 companies participate in one of the Cleantech Open US, Global Climate Innovation, or Global Ideas programs. Once a year, the best innovators from across these programs come together in celebration of their progress and impact in creating an inclusive green global economy.
This one-of-a-kind innovation ecosystem built over the last 10 years of programming spans key cleantech innovation hubs in the US, linking labs and universities, service providers, investors, corporations, governments, and other cleantech incubators and accelerators.
Through the annual accelerator, they provide between 100–150 companies in the US a rich program of customer discovery, extensive mentoring, training, investor meetings, startup—corporate matching, and showcasing at both the regional and national levels.
Since 2005, more than 70% of the reporting US alumni companies are still operating and have collectively raised over $1.2 billion in external funding. Join this exciting community and be a part of this global network of innovation.
If you’re accepted into the program, applicants will work with mentors, access a valuable network of professionals, and attend business clinics and webinars that provide them with the skills they need to take their business forward. In the fall, teams present their ideas for regional-level judging and are awarded prizes on the regional level. Finalist teams from regions across the country move on to be showcased in the annual Global Forum.
