Via email, CleanTechnica found this week there is another enticing sale on that highly anticipated 2018 Nissan LEAF. The time is ripe (and the range is ripe) to buy all-electric. The email announced that a prime LEAF leasing offer is $229/month with $3,979 down. “Get yours and experience the thrill of a whole new way to drive. It’s simply amazing. If you have any questions about the all-new Nissan LEAF®,* please contact us at 855-467-3214.”

An interesting note on this innovative, all-electric, zero-emissions LEAF is the brief comparison to a reputable automaker Honda that Jonny Smith makes on Fully Charged: After all these years, Honda only has a concept all-electric car, whilst Nissan is moving on to second generation with full accolades from tens of thousands of owners who love their LEAF. Nissan LEAF has already made a difference in air pollution, and the new LEAF will take that a step further.

Smith drives around congested and busy Yokohama remarking how tranquil his experience is inside 2018 LEAF. I’ve found the ambiance of the LEAF helps to stay soothed and quiet inside even as traffic builds around. Smith flew to Japan to test drive the 2018 Nissan LEAF. Not a complete fan of the EV as I am, he warms to the LEAF quite well as he maneuvers around Japan exploring aspects of the new car. He tries e-Pedal driving as well, and you’ll have to watch for his reaction to that.

Build your LEAF now if you feel inspired. Below are a couple of screenshots from the email.

In my opinion, Nissan will continue to lead on electric vehicle, and if you are already wondering about the 2019 LEAF, an earlier CleanTechnica highlights a critical piece of information that will probably define the transition in the industry in the coming 5–10 years: “One of the advantages of all-electric vehicles is that they are relatively simple, and thus cheaper to make (minus the battery packs), so as battery costs drop, there’s the option to sell relatively high-spec cars with fancy extra features at affordable prices (once battery costs fall enough).”

But why wait? Enjoy and lessen your driving stress now — and make a difference reducing air pollution without further delay.
