Autonomy & The Urban Mobility Summit is an international urban mobility event happening in Paris, October 19–21. After the success of its first edition in 2016, Autonomy is now positioned as the annual multi-industry event where innovators, cities, and consumers meet to change the way we get around.

Understanding the Urban Mobility Revolution

Autonomy is an independent collaborative platform dedicated to improving urban mobility. It has a framework to help make sense of the mobility revolution: ADESA, which stands for Active mobility, Data analytics, Electric vehicles, Shared mobility, and Autonomous vehicles. We believe that these five factors will create a mobility tipping point in European cities by 2020, reaching critical mass by 2025. The role of Autonomy is to gather public and private actors to collaborate in creating a safe, healthy, and efficient mobility landscape.

“Not just any summit, Autonomy is the unique collaborative platform to make the future of urban mobility smarter and more responsible,” explains Ross Douglas, founder of Autonomy.

Growing Momentum

Autonomy has already landed 30 strategic partnerships with leading city and transport networks, including C40 Cities, ICLEI, UITP, Polis Network, and Ademe.

UITP and Polis Network are hosting member meetings during the event and delegates working on mobility in London, Manchester, Rome, and Budapest have confirmed their participation. Sponsors representing the new mobility ecosystem are also supporting the event, including SNCF, Renault, Engie, Chargepoint, Bollore, Alliance, Mappy, ViaID, and Vulog.

A total of 180 exhibitors have booked booths so far, including PSA, Niu, Scoot, Smoove, CityScoot, Volt, and Altermove; and the organizers expect 250 exhibitors, making this the world’s biggest new mobility community. We also have a startup village: “Funding the movement.” It includes a pitching session where the best startups can pitch to investors from around the world.

The Urban Mobility Summit

Given demand for content and discussion regarding the future of mobility, the organizing team developed a conference as a key feature of Autonomy 2017: “The Urban Mobility Summit.” This will become the platform for policymakers, companies, and innovators to connect and share their vision on active mobility, data, electric, shared, and autonomous vehicle solutions.

To challenge the status quo, Autonomy has shaped an innovative and disruptive conference format:

  • The Movers, inspirational speakers sharing an incredible mobility feat they have accomplished
  • The Connectors, major businesspeople and policymakers debating and collaborating on mobility issues
  • The Tool-Makers, four mobility actors teaching the audience how to use a specific tool
  • The Disrupters, innovators presenting a disruptive mobility solution they launched
  • The Experts, mobility consultants interviewing a key client on a specific theme
  • The Meet-Ups, mobility companies organizing meet-ups to meet new players

Over 100 international leaders will participate in 60 different conference events. Writers from world-leading publications — including the Financial Times, New York Times, CleanTechnica, Les Echos, and Die Welt — will participate as moderators.

How You Can Get Involved with Autonomy 2017

If you are an urban mobility actor, you have to be part of Autonomy 2017. There are two Pro-days (B2B – B2G), October 19–20, and a public day (B2C), October 21. Come as an exhibitor or visitor. Take advantage of the Early Bird Offer, which is closing August 31.
