Did you know that there’s energy stored in giant balloons beneath Lake Ontario, that the world’s most energy-efficient light bulb can last over 25 years, and that Apple’s Ecobee smart thermostat comes from Ontario?

To highlight exciting companies like these, the Advanced Energy Centre at MaRS developed the Energy Innovation Snapshot, a curated website showcasing Canadian energy companies and their projects. The site helps leading energy solution providers connect with prospective buyers and investors around the world. Today, more than 50 projects and companies are available on the site. Soon the collection will expand to 100+ curated innovations.

“Through our work with innovators and the trade network, we have identified that one of the biggest challenges with adopting energy innovation is understanding what solutions are commercially available today. We believe that the Energy Innovation Snapshot fills a clear market need. This website profiles innovative Canadian companies that have demonstrated project success and are export-ready. The aim of this platform is to match energy needs with technology solutions, and connect Canadian companies with potential buyers and investors globally.” said Ron Dizy, Managing Director of the Advanced Energy Centre.

This curated website is the place to go to discover and connect to leading energy innovators. To explore how Canada is shaping the future of energy, go to Energy Innovation Snapshot.
