Revolution is a brewing. In two weeks, we will be in the midst of our second Cleantech Revolution Tour conference in Berlin, and our 4th overall. We have a tremendous lineup of speakers and panelists scheduled for Berlin and Wroclaw, and a unique format that will result on some practical end products.

Additionally, this year’s series brings “tour” into the agenda in a deeper way — with each conference held in two cities.

On June 27, early birds can engage in informal networking and plant the seeds of two conference end products (figuratively, not literally).

On June 28, a full day of presentations and panel + audience discussions (which will be a core focus this year due to their popularity in the first 3 conferences) is planned at Ahoy Berlin. At the end of all that, attendees joining the conference in Wroclaw as well can book a seat in a Tesla Shuttle or jet over to Wroclaw via their own means.

On June 29, there’s another full day of panel discussions and presentations, this time at Hotel Mercure Wroclaw Centrum in the center of Wroclaw, but there are also a couple of in-depth workshops. These workshops don’t pop up out of the blue — rather, short feedback activities through the two days of presentations and panel discussions will feed into them.

More details on the schedule are coming soon, but the focus of this article is to announce 5 more stellar cleantech leaders who will be joining us for this edition of our Cleantech Revolution Tour series.

Levente Reizer — One of our conference sponsors is Nissan, which we love not just because it’s a sponsor but also because it is one of the top automakers trying to help the electric era arrive sooner than later. We and hundreds of others have loved life with the Nissan LEAF, and are eager to find out what Nissan has up its sleeve for 2018. Levente, Electric Vehicle Product Manager, Nissan Sales CEE, will share some of that with us. Here’s a bit more on Levente:

Levente started his studies with an International Relations college degree (Budapest, 2007), then continued with an MBA (Budapest, 2010) and finished with a master’s degree Marketing (Budapest, 2013). Levente has been working in the automotive sector since 2007 in various positions. Since 2011, he has been focused on EVs. He introduced the Nissan LEAF to Central Eastern European markets (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary) in 2013 and the Nissan e-NV200 in 2014. Besides helping to make Nissan #1 in terms of sales in the region, Levente was also responsible for charging infrastructure development and deployed or contracted around 100 rapid chargers in the region – thanks to which CHAdeMO is the leading rapid charging standard in the mentioned countries. He also led several partnerships with electric utility companies and participated in several conferences or meetings with government officials in the region to lobby for faster e-mobility development. As a next step, Nissan continues to grow the EV business as well as the introduction of new technologies such as Vehicle to Grid (V2G) or xStorage.

Piotr Pająk — I took over as site director of CleanTechnica in mid-2010. That’s the same year Piotr launched Gramwzielone.pl. I got into the business via luck, but I can say that Piotr got into it due to foresight — great foresight. Anyone who really jumped into the cleantech transition starting back in 2010 was ahead of the curve.

Launching a powerful, independent blog focused on “the green life” back in 2010, Piotr was also quick to move at a time when the blogosphere was more of a niche world. The results are clear — Gramwzielone is a leading voice on green matters in Poland, it is widely read by people interested in cleantech as well as other matters, and Piotr is probably one of the most informed greenies in the country. We’re happy he’ll be joining us for a presentation and panel discussion in Wroclaw. His presentation will focus on the solar power transition (we can’t really call it a revolution at this point) in Poland.

Roman Targosz — What’s copper got to do with cleantech? A lot. Copper is a key ingredient in renewable energy systems as well as electric motors for electric vehicles. It’s also important to transmission, energy efficiency, and more. Roman knows a great deal about this that I’m sure we won’t scratch the surface of in a couple of weeks, but he also has deep and useful knowledge of EU renewable energy and electric vehicle policy thanks to his role as Energy and Electricity Project Manager at European Copper Institute. He will be providing some insight on some of this in a presentation on “EU Policies for EVs: Electromobility Policy Recommendations in the Context of the Clean Energy Package.” Here’s a bit more about Roman:

Roman Targosz graduated from Wroclaw Technical University in Poland in 1986 in the Power Engineering Department. His employment experience included working for ABB in the manufacturing of traction and synchronous machines and open pit industry equipment. In 1995, he graduated from the ABB Executive Management Development Program. In 2000, Roman joined the European Copper Institute, where he works till today as Energy and Electricity Project Manager, responsible for power quality, energy efficiency of transformers, energy management, and advocacy programs. He is deeply involved in the e-learning activities of Leonardo Academy.

Artur Sychov — Artur’s public profile is pretty simple: Founder & CEO, EasyCharge.me | Angel Investor | VR evangelist | Love Tesla | Inventor | Poker Player | Father & Family Keeper. And what more do you really need to know? 😉 Okay, here’s a bit more:

After getting his MBA at Financial Managements & Investment Banking Artur worked for 7+ years as an Energy Trader for Investment Bank and Energy Utility. He was speculating on electricity prices across European markets, shutting down and ramping up power plants by selling their capacities cross border to other countries. Being a long-term Tesla fan led Artur to think about innovative approaches for EV charging stations. This led to his invention LEVIAMP and formation of his company, EasyCharge.me. Artur is also investing in Virtual Reality, Digital Medicine, and Green Mobility startups.

Since EasyCharge.me is his main professional baby, though, here’s a bit more information on this interesting EV startup:

EASYCHARGE.me GmbH is a Germany-based company which specializes in designing, producing, and implementing smart solutions for electric vehicles. Our vision is to provide fast and affordable access to charging infrastructure for SMEs, corporate, or private customers. We hope that our technical solutions will help to boost and speed up a process of mobility electrification in the world.

Koen Schroder — Another “early days” EVangelist, Koen brings a depth, breadth, and overall wealth of EV experience to share with Cleantech Revolution Tour attendees in Berlin. Koen will provide useful insight on the Dutch experience — what has worked … and what not so much. With the Netherlands being one of the most “mature” EV markets in the world, and Koen being involved in this sector since 2010, we have a lot to learn and get excited about. Here’s a bit more info on Koen to wheth your appetite:

Koen Schroder is combining his passion for innovation and cross-border cooperation to live within the EV sector. Koen has a background in European policymaking and a focus on electric vehicles and clean technologies since 2010. In 2014, he was part of the team building a new EU-based charge point operator, Allego.

Koen is in Allego’s strategy and communication team, with a focus on public affairs at the EU and national levels. He is participating as an expert in the EU SGEMS group, is co-founder of the Belgium-based sector organization OpenChargepointBelgium, and is a member of the board of the DOET (Dutch Organisation of Electric Transport).

Come join these EV leaders and approximately 20 others who will be presenting, participating in panel discussions, and feeding into two useful workshops on how to grow the EV and renewable energy revolution.

You can learn more here or here, or you can just dart over to buy tickets now! (Also, psst, CleanTechnica Facebook fans can register for the $19/day Student/Partner rate.)

Stay tuned for some more speaker and schedule announcements in the coming days. 😉
