Dubuc Motors will begin production of its long awaited electric supercar, the Tomahawk, next year, according to recent reports. Perhaps more notably, the company is saying that the production offering will do 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2 seconds.

That last bit relates to when the car is in “Race Mode” and is able to achieve “demented acceleration,” as the company put it. Otherwise (in “Street Mode”), the Dubuc Motors Tomahawk EV will reportedly do 0 to 60 mph in around 4 seconds — which is still insanely fast, of course, but may not make you throw up.

Other details? A 4-motor design that provides 800 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque; adjustable air suspension; a balanced 50/50 front/rear weight distribution; and the ability to pull 1.2 Gs in a corner.

“Last we heard from Dubuc Motors, it was trying to raise capital through a crowdfunding campaign for its wildly out-there Tomahawk electric supercar. Well, the company is still taking on investors, and has announced that the Tomahawk will go into production next year,” Autoblog writes.

Dubuc itself writes: “The company has an ongoing crowdfunding IPO underway and have already welcomed hundreds of investors in support of their product launch. This opportunity is open to everybody internationally through their website or Start Engine, the platform hosting their Reg A+ offering.”

Here’s a list of details straight from Dubuc Motors:

  • 800 Horsepower
  • 1000 Pounds-feet of torque
  • 0-60 mph in 2 seconds when in Race Mode, 4 seconds in Street mode
  • 1.2 G-force in cornering
  • 100 kWh, lithium-ion battery
  • 370 Mile range
  • Lightweight Carbon Fiber Body
  • Lightweight Carbon Fiber Chassis
