Karma Automotive has officially begun delivering the first Karma Revero plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) to its dealerships in the US, according to recent reports.

As you may recall (or not), the Karma Revero PHEV is an updated, rebadged version of the earlier Fisker Karma PHEV — which is the result of Fisker being acquired by a China-based firm Wanxiang following Fisker Automotive’s bankruptcy filing. (In somewhat related news, Henrik Fisker has moved on and is now working on an all-electric car.)

Commenting on the official “Delivery Day” that the company held, Chief Revenue Officer Jim Taylor stated: “Karma has moved from a product development company to an automotive manufacturer. We have completed the critical steps to become a true luxury vehicle OEM. The launch is a great accomplishment for our company and all our team members.”

Autoblog provides more: “The range-extended luxury EV hasn’t changed much since its first life under the oversight of Henrik Fisker. The Karma Revero has two electric motors providing the rear wheels with 403 horsepower and 981 pound-feet of torque. A 21.4-kWh battery provides up to 50 miles of electric-only driving range, while an onboard gasoline generator extends that range to 300 miles. It can do 0-60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 125 mph. It features 50:50 weight distribution and auto-leveling suspension for optimal handling.”

So, overall, the Karma Revero is a car that will probably garner some interest, especially since most people seem to think that the model is quite a stylish one.

With regard to the dealerships that will be getting their first Karma Reveros, those are located in Miami, Palm Beach, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, Fort Worth, and Pasadena.
