Update: This video was indeed created by GM’s team in Korea. Read the update here: GM’s Chevy Bolt Ad Excites (CleanTechnica Mistake Offers Interesting Case Study).

A great fan-made Chevy Bolt EV ad recently came to my attention, one that seems worth reposting here. After watching it, I have to wonder — why doesn’t GM/Chevy make ads like this itself?

Here’s the video:

As you can see, it’s fun, lively, features Chevy Bolt’s “future tech,” features the wonderful quiet of an EV, and simply makes you think the Bolt is a super cool car and makes you want one (generally speaking). Clearly, the people who created it are pros, love the car, and would like to get more people to buy it.

Any more thoughts on the video, or on GM’s own advertising?

(Tip of the hat to “Neromanceres” on the GM-Volt.com forum for posting this.)
