A new residential development by Lafferty Communities in Manteca, California, will come with a valuable perk. Every one of the 126 single-family homes in the new Oakwood Shores neighborhood will come with 8 solar panels from SolarWorld. Each 2.72 kilowatt system will include Enphase microinverters and is being manufactured in the United States exclusively for PetersenDean Roofing & Solar, who will install them on the homes as they are completed.

So;lar system standard on new Cali homes

“We are delighted to partner with Lafferty and SolarWorld on these projects,” said Jim Petersen, founder of PetersenDean. “We need better energy policies and a cleaner and healthier way of living so being able to power your house using renewable resources, is one effective and efficient way. Imagine cutting your energy bill in half while taking advantage of renewable energy sources like the sun. That’s what these programs are all about.”

While many new communities offer solar panels as an option, Oakwood Shores is one of the few in the area that will offer solar as a standard feature on all of its homes. This new residential project is the first solar-equipped development built by Lafferty Communities and symbolizes the builder’s commitment to promoting energy efficiency and sustainability within its communities. Solar energy packages will also be offered to homebuyers at Lafferty Community’s Brioso Reserve in Napa and Amber Field in Brentwood.

Oakwood Shores is a gated, lakefront community that features a 4,000 square foot clubhouse with gourmet kitchen and community pool, cabana with a poolside lounge, patio with lake views, and a gourmet barbecue area with outdoor fireplace. The lakeside lifestyle offers opportunities for fishing as well as family parks and children’s play structures.

Manteca is located between Stockton and Modesto and is just off Interstate 5, the main north-south highway that bisects the state of California. The San Francisco Bay area is easily accessible via Interstate 205 and 580, making it the ideal suburban area for those working in Oakland or San Francisco.
