Model Sondors EV — 3-Seat EV With Long-Range Options — Starting At $10,000
Following the success of his IndieGogo electric bike crowdfunding campaign and subsequent business success, Storm Sondors has launched a new company — the Sondors Electric Car Company.
The new company has revealed a 3-wheel electric vehicle with seating for 3 and a starting price of $10,000 — the Model Sondors. The new electric vehicle (EV) will reportedly be built from aluminum and available with a number of different battery pack options — ones allowing for ranges of 50, 100, or 200 miles per full charge, according to those involved.
As it stands, a physical prototype isn’t expected to be revealed before the end of next year. The project is currently using a StartEngine campaign for funding — offering $12 common shares in the company (with a minimum investment being $120) through the service. The plans call for an initial investment of $1 million for prototype construction work. The $120 minimum investment, notably, reserves you one of the vehicles, should it be released. (At the time of writing this, $276,000 of the targeted $70,000 has been raised.)
Once the prototype has been completed, the firm is then planning another round of financing. Interestingly, Sondors is apparently “hoping” for as many as 120,000 initial orders — and he claims that returns on investment will be strong if the plan follows through on its objectives.
Once things are up and running, the plan is for the EVs to be ordered online and then delivered to your door, as with electric bikes sold by Sondors.
