Cleantech-Revolution-Tour-1-conferenceAs many of you know, CleanTechnica and GridHub have been partnering on Cleantech Revolution Tour conferences for the past several months. The first conference was in Berlin and the second was in Leipzig, Germany.

We are holding the next conference in Wrocław, Poland (where I’m currently living). We’re also expecting this to be our biggest conference to date, and we have several excellent speakers lined up.

Cleantech-Revolution-LOGO-3As the registration page on Eventbrite states, it will be “an innovative, informative conference which brings together inspiring and knowledgeable speakers in the cleantech industry.”

Since our aim is genuinely to spread the cleantech revolution, we are making the conference as accessible as possible, which means that tickets are free!

This conference is being sponsored in part by the European Copper Institute (Europejski Instytut Miedzi) as well, which is the force behind the excellent Leonardo Energy (aka Leonardo Academy) education initiative. Copper is an integral part to a shift to cleantech, and it’ll be interesting to learn a bit more about that in one of the event presentations.

Leonardo-ENERGY

I’ve watched numerous Leonardo Academy presentations over the years and learned a great deal from them. I encourage you to check out what they offer if you want a deep but relatively concise dive into various energy topics.

For “Cleantech Revolution Tour → Wrocław,” topics we’ll be discussion in shocking depth include:

We have another superb lineup of speakers planned. Here’s a look at currently confirmed speakers who are prepped, pumped, and empowered to rock your socks off:

denis-rakcheevDenis Rakcheev

Denis Rakcheev, a Chemical Engineer at Alevo Battery Technology GmbH, became interested in global warming and related issues after he finished his master’s thesis in physical chemistry in Siberia and gained experience in environmental chemistry in Germany. In 2014, he started a project on increasing the efficiency and the electric range of hybrid vehicles. Since then, the concept of storing electricity as a chemical reaction became the major focus of his professional activity.

jacek-fiorJacek Fior

Jacek is an entrepreneurial type who sees opportunities all around. He runs his own corporate language training company and international translation agency, Quest Corporate Language Solutions. One of his many passions, besides card tricks and mixology, is electric cars and their introduction on the market. He is currently working on launching the Polish platform of CleanTechnica — cleantechnica.pl — in the hopes of helping people to understand the revolution we are witnessing. Jacek is also a founding partner of an electric carsharing company.

jose_pontesJose Pontes

Always interested in the auto industry, particularly in electric cars, Jose has been overviewing the sales evolution of plug-in vehicles through the EV Sales blog since 2012, allowing him to gain an expert view on where EVs are right now and where they are headed in the future. The EV Sales blog has become a go-to source for people interested in electric car sales around the world. Extending that work and expertise, Jose is now a partner in EV-Volumes.

michael-thornhillMichael Thornhill

Michael Thornhill is the Founder and Managing Director of Rebalance Recruitment GmbH, renewable energy recruitment specialists based in Berlin. As Michael relays, Rebalance Recruitment consistently emphasizes, “If you want to make a change, you have to be pro-active and lead from the front.” That is how it has built the success of its business within renewable energy recruitment.

It also wants to give something back to the environment, to minimise and help reverse the impacts that years of fossil fuel use and the industrial revolution has caused to our planet. The time has come where it is too late for all of us to be spectators in the future of our world. The time has come where it is our duty to make the change that we want and need to see. Rebalance Recruitment will be partnering with local and international environmental charities, donating each year to sustainable causes.

robert_schulzeRobert Schulze

Robert Schulze has completed a technical education as well as a business degree. He started his career as a controller for an airline consolidator, a market leader in Germany, and later became the project lead for an ERP system change at a US subsidiary. In a period of one and a half years, he lived and worked between Los Angeles, New York City, and Berlin working on this project. In 2014, Robert founded Vilgard Motor UG.

roman-targoszRoman Targosz

Roman Targosz graduated from Wroclaw Technical University in Poland in 1986 in the Power Engineering Department. His employment experience included working for ABB in the manufacturing of traction and synchronous machines and open pit industry equipment. In 1995, he graduated from the ABB Executive Management Development Program. In 2000, Roman joined the European Copper Institute, where he works till today as Energy and Electricity Project Manager, responsible for power quality, energy efficiency of transformers, energy management, and advocacy programs. He is deeply involved in the e-learning activities of Leonardo Academy.

sergei-nikulinSergei Nikulin

Sergei is one of the few guys who started promoting and accelerating the acceptance of electric vehicles in Ukraine. It took his team less than one year to prepare and organize the first international electric vehicles tradeshow — Plug-In Ukraine. The next EV tradeshow will take place on April 7–9, 2017 in Kiev. His team has set up an online platform — emobilis.co — where you can find up-to-date information about the EV industry not only in Ukraine but in other countries as well. The team is now closing negotiations for a 30% stake acquisition with a Ukrainian company that will produce charging stations locally. It will help to speed up infrastructure development in the country, which is a key in EV market growth.

Being an active member of the Ukrainian Auto Importers and Auto Dealers Association, Sergei plays a key role in getting support from the government to increase EV numbers on Ukrainian roads.

tomek-gac

Tomasz Gać

Tomek is a cleantech fan and it shows in all of his endeavors. His courier company, Quriers, is unique in delivering parcels using electric cars and bicycles — a revolutionary approach in a country like Poland. His other company, Energia Slonca, explores opportunities for solar PV panel installations for private and corporate clients. Juggling many tasks while managing these two businesses and engaging in even more green activities and e-mobility development, Tomek is also a family man who finds time for his wife and three children. Supporting cleantechnica.pl and the Cleantech Revolution Tour are part of his “free time” activities.

viktor_irleViktor Irle

Growing up in an auto-producing city in Sweden, Viktor has had an interest in cars for as long as he can remember. Writing his thesis about speed-controlled electric engines, and later studying industrial transformation and technological change, the great emerging opportunities of EVs made him jump on the train and co-found EV-Volumes, which is aimed at becoming the premier source of EV industry sales data and broader EV consultancy. I’d say it’s already there with regards to EV industry sales data.

zachary_shahanZachary Shahan

Zach is the director and editor of CleanTechnica as well as EVObsession.com and SolarLove.org (two sites he founded in 2012). He’s also the president of Important Media, which is the parent network to those three sites and ~20 others.

Zach has been referenced or interviewed by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, CNBC, Reuters, and numerous other news outlets and websites. He has also presented, provided workshops, and moderated panels at clean energy and electric vehicles conferences in the US, Canada, India, and Europe. In 2013, Zach was named one of the top 20 influencers on fuel economy matters alongside President Obama, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk, the US Secretary of Energy, Nissan & Renault Chairman & CEO Carlos Ghosn, GM’s CEO and president, and several other car company execs as well as a few leading auto journalists.

We will also have electric car test drives on site, as usual.
