Opower & Eversource Energy Expand Agreement For New Suite Of Demand-Side-Management & Customer-Engagement Tools

Popular cloud-based software provider for the utility industry Opower has greatly expanded its agreement with Eversource Energy for the delivery of a new suite of demand-side-management and customer-engagement tools, according to a new press release.
The new software suite will reportedly include elements of Agile EE, Opower’s next-generation Energy Efficiency solution. The program expansion pertains to the inclusion of 250,000 more households (in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut) than previously agreed upon. The program now encompasses around 1 million regional homes.
“Contract expansions like this one with Eversource are the best proof that Opower’s enterprise platform is delivering compelling results for our utility partners,” stated Opower CEO Dan Yates. “From its inception, Opower has grown by helping utilities meet and exceed their goals while transforming their customer experience.”
The press release provides a bit more: “Opower will deliver Home Energy Reports to give customers more control over their energy use and provide data-rich insights and recommendations on how to save money on monthly bills. These Agile EE solutions leverage the largest residential energy dataset on earth and provide unparalleled personalization and targeting for utility energy efficiency programs. Eversource will also send Opower’s High Bill Alerts to customers, a key component of Agile EE.”
