One of the attendees at our recent Cleantech Revolution Tour conference in Berlin was Axel of Axel & Boris. Axel is one of the two “Yesssmen.” To highlight the good work The Yesssmen are doing, we’ve collaborated on this short info + an extra “More About Axel & Boris” section below. Check it out:
Who are you?
We are The Yesssmen, ambassadors and supporters for the fight against climate change and for the improvement of safeguarding energy supplies. As fictional characters, who playfully teach young and old people about climate change, we have super-everything — strength, speed, flight, invulnerability — as well as our heat vision. We are powerful beings, here to use our power to do good.
Climate change is far more than just an “environmental” problem, it’s a global problem!
What do you believe in?
We believe, if we do not change our course, we could soon be on an irreversible path towards severe climate instability, resource scarcity, and environmental degradation, resulting in a planet no longer capable of sustaining life as we currently know it.
We believe that the connection between education and opinions on climate change needs to be re-examined scientifically because there is still a big gap — for example, 40% of adults worldwide have never heard of climate change.
What’s your mission?
We want to help to improve basic education, climate literacy, and public understanding of the local dimensions of climate change.
This is just the beginning. We working on a comic and our first movie script.

Who created you?
Behind us, The Yesssmen, are Axel & Boris, Chairmen of Yesss CAPITAL, Yessspreneurs & Visionaries — technology enthusiasts passionate about awesome people and innovations.
More About Axel & Boris
Together, they started their entrepreneurial journey selling bananas, established their first IT company in 1997, and were involved in other technology and energy projects after that. Ever since, they have been very passionate about innovative businesses and bringing great ideas to life.
They love to create synergies between diverse sectors, companies, & humans, and to use their energy to create positive value.
Axel & Boris consider themselves explorers, seeking for amazing people, new innovative ideas, and discoveries worldwide.
They founded Yesss CAPITAL to invest in technology, energy, and entertainment startups from North America, Europe, and the developing world. Yesss CAPITAL was born out of their passion for innovations and the recognition that synergies do exist between diverse sectors, companies, & humans, and their growth can be greatly enhanced if their efforts are synchronized.
The strategy is to be in a diverse spectrum of companies operating with innovative ideas, that match current and expected needs worldwide and have the potential to solve the developing world’s greatest challenges. Challenges in energy and environment, food safety and supply, and access to healthcare and education, for example. They believe these problems are huge, but technology is the answer.
The target are companies with a clear vision for the future, high return potential, and capability to create significant value and long-term benefits.
But that’s not enough for them.
Axel & Boris are environmentalists and want to make a positive impact on the world. In their early 20s, they started thinking about environmental topics and how they can fight against climate change by using technology. In 2014, they joined an innovative energy company from Switzerland that needed their help in internationalization and to roll out their products as Directors of International Affairs. H2-Industries AG is developing a CO2-free energy storage solution based on a liquid for bigger applications like factories, villages, and cities.
