Mercedes-Benz is reportedly planning to deploy battery packs made from these Korean lithium-ion cells in a number of different electric vehicle (EV) types over the coming years.

A bit of background here, SK Innovation recently doubled production capacity at its facility in Seosan, Korea — with production there now running 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The company is reportedly planning to continue expanding manufacturing volume as further expected business opportunities arise.
