Nissan and Fastned have opted to expand their current partnership, to now offer new Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 electric vehicle buyers 4 years of free fast-charging via the Fastned network of chargers, according to a recent email sent to EV Obsession and CleanTechnica.

The new promotion — which is apparently effective immediately — means that buyers of new Nissan electric vehicles (EVs) in the Netherlands will now have free access to the most developed fast-charging network in the country.

Fastned

There are currently 50 fast-charging stations in the Fastned network within the territory of the Netherlands — and the network is reportedly soon to be expanded to include a notable portion of Europe.

Michiel Langezaal, CEO of Fastned, stated: “With this Fastned subscription Nissan drivers can fast-charge for free throughout the Netherlands, and soon throughout Europe. This partnership does not only make electric driving economical, it also makes electric cars accessible to those without their own charging point at home.”

Here’s more via the recent email:

Free charging at Fastned is part of the Nissan e-Four package that now comes standard with every Nissan LEAF and e-NV200. In addition to four years of free fast charging this package also includes a rental car for four years (12 weeks total) for holidays, four years of free maintenance and a free charge point at home or at work. Good news for anyone who considers buying an electric car.

Those looking for more information on the partnership between Fastned and Nissan, or simply more information on the company’s fast-charging network, can find that here.

This follows an initial partnership between Nissan and Fastned announced in September.
