Holy cow — CleanTechnica passed 20,000 posts last week! I didn’t actually notice, but Kyle Field saw the ticker moving there and sent me an enthusiastic email. It took me a moment to figure out, but then… wow, 20,000 posts. That’s sort of hard to believe.

Hopefully things keep going well, cleantech industries keep growing fast, and we’re announcing 40,000 posts in a few years or so.

Thanks to Kyle, all the other writers, and all our sisters sites until then.

      I used to dampen the over enthusiasm of Tesla Fans because they are becoming fanatics instead of being realistic, but it got too boring for me. So I seldom respond to topics about Tesla.

        I love their innovation but agree they are overpriced and not delivering sufficient volume to make a huge impact…yet. Poised for huge change in the next 3 years if they can pull of 3 @ $30k.

          They’re too expensive to spur the volume of EVs we need for a revolution… but starting at the high end of the market was the only thing they could do starting with little cash. Their high profit margins have gone into expanding production and R&D at a pace that’s unheard of from most startup companies and in the end Tesla will put out cheap EVs in huge volume and force other big auto companies to do the same when they otherwise would not have done so for years longer, if ever. So I think people have a good reason to think kindly of Tesla and sometimes they’re too forgiving but that doesn’t bother me.

        I thought you were doing that. I do that too. Though I sometimes wonder if I’m damaging them or helping them. I like to tell myself I’m helping by adjust expectations correctly so more people will buy them.

        You may have thought it adding a voice of reason. I’m afraid many of us saw your over the top comments as bashing.

        If anyone had been as negative about the Volt I suspect you would have gone apeshit.

        But, if you’ve pulled back your claws, thanks. Reasonable and reasoned criticism is always valuable.

    • Ha, not sure, but the Tesla ones definitely outperform others on average. 😀 And I’d say are more interesting stories than the generic EV press release stories we also cover. 😀

    Yay Cleantechnica!

    But the article starts by saying you’ve reached 20,000 posts and ends by saying you look forward to 40,000 views… I assume that should be 40,000 posts?
