Children’s Wind Energy Book Receives Shining Endorsements From Climate Leaders

Author Stacy Clark‘s new children’s book, the first in a three-part renewable energy series, is receiving glowing accolades and shining endorsements from climate leaders, renewable energy advocates, and other environmental authors.

The new publication, a rhyming picture book that celebrates and explains the importance of wind energy as a sustainable source of clean electricity, is titled When the Wind Blows, and could be an essential read for green kids and mainstream audiences alike.

The hardcover book, which was published in January of 2015, features ‘lyrical stanzas’ accompanied by ink and watercolor illustrations by Brad Sneed, and is aimed at transforming the science of wind power technology into “appealing, accessible language” for children in grades K-3.

When the Wind Blows has received rave reviews from such climate and renewable energy luminaries as Bill McKibben (350.org), Mark Jacobson (The Solutions Project), Michael E. Mann (The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars), Mark Ruffalo, and others.

When the Wind Blows is available through Holiday House, various online book retailers, or through the book’s website. The second book in Clark’s renewable energy series is a “rhyming, solar-power adventure” titled When the Sun Shines, which is currently seeking a publisher on the Inkubate platform.
