7 Tesla Model X Videos From The Mass Media

A few initial Tesla Model X “review” videos have now been published by major media sites that attended the X unveiling in California earlier this week. Aside from some “humorous” commentary (imho), the nice thing about the videos is you get a better view at how the X looks in normal use (not on a stage). Check ’em out:

Here’s a Tesla enthusiast trying to explain the Model X to “normal people.” Note that he’s also the guy in the CNET video above. He knows his stuff, but it’s interesting to see the divide between someone who really knows a Tesla and these other people.

Cool compilation.
But it is disconcerting how many journalists don’t understand the pricing. Even the guy who knows it is only for the signature series, and it will come down, didn’t convey how Tesla’s unique pricing uses “signature series” as a means to handle large demand at low production volume as they ramp up. The Model S signature was very steep too…. and the base version wound up much cheaper.
The journalists should be aware why Tesla is demanding such a premium…. because the initial volume is so low, they must make as much margin as they can.
And everyone should be aware that Elon promised that the Model X will be about $5,000 above the similarly spec’d Model S.

Yeah, the lack of awareness is painfully obvious whenever watching a mainstream media video on Tesla.
Zach has given Tesla fatigue.
I am guessing the windscreen would be mighty expensive to replace … and particularly here in OZ where stone chips are a common thing
Expensive cars have expensive parts. That is not a revelation. No different than flagship Mercedes, BMW or Porsche.
People, who are fortunate enough to be able to, are willing to pay more for a superior driving experience.
