  • The price is starting at 469 000 SEK, 50 000 SEK ($5900) cheaper than the V60 D6 plugin. The range is the same as the D6 plugin, about 50 km real world range.

    The only real difference is that they have changed the higher horsepower diesel engine D6 to one with a bit less, the D5.

    And it’s not really a new car since it’s been sold in Norway for quite a while.

  • I think Volvo is going to be the first to come out with a diesel electric hybrid for heavy commercial Trucks. Getting a electric drive train into big rigs is going to change the game. If the federal government allowed Hybrid trucks have an extra 10 thousand pounds the industry will rapidly adopt these vehicles.
