December 28th, 2014 by

In the video above, you can see the Lamborghini Aventador beats the Tesla Model S P85D to 60 miles per hour, but the P85D actually has the lead up to 50 miles per hour, with its insane torque. Enjoy the video and share with any gearhead friends of yours!

That Tesla is a four door passenger car. Electric is the future.

I already hear my seven year old kid – a real Lambo fan – ask me: Dad, did they try race the Veneno??? Heck, it would be interesting to see the outcome. Add a Bugatti Veyron to the mix to make it even tastier! 🙂

If I’m reading the video’s description correctly, the Tesla actually beats Lamborghini up to 80mph, not 50mph. More evidence of that is at 0:30 in the video, from the Lamborghini’s perspective, it doesn’t start moving faster than Tesla till at least 4 seconds off the block, and both cars are supposed to hit 60mph at 3.2 and 2.9 seconds.

Let’s try that on an icy Alberta road.

So I’m seeing the Lamborghini sideways in a snowbank and the Tesla taillights far in the distance….
