Tesla keeps moving on up. It’s been getting picked up by more and more popular television shows.
The Big Bang Theory
Last month, The Big Bang Theory referenced the electric car leader that physicists, NASA engineers, actresses, waitresses, and everyone in between loves, as well as the scientist that electric car leader was named after.
From the Tesla Motors Club forum, here’s the transcript of that part of the show, in which Amy & Sheldon were playing a knowledge game (pictured above):
Amy: “He is an underrated scientist and there is a car named after him.”
Sheldon: “Mini Cooper”
Amy: “He is a poor man’s Sheldon Cooper.”
Sheldon: “Tesla”
Made me smile. 😀
Mike Tyson Mysteries
That same day, someone shared that Elon Musk appeared in Mike Tyson Mysteries.
“Mike and the gang pick up Buzz Aldrin at the airport in Las Vegas, but just before Aldrin lets Mike in on the biggest secret of the universe, he is killed in yet another one of Mike’s car accidents. To solve the mystery of the universe, Mike ‘borrows’ Elon Musk’s rocket to travel to the moon.”
I guess that’s more of a reference to SpaceX than Tesla Motors, but it’s Elon nonetheless.
(That was Season 1, Episode 3, “Heavyweight Champion of the Moon,” if you want to have a watch.)
Tesla A Topic On Jeopardy
Most recently (afaik), Tesla was featured a great deal on Jeopardy. Jeopardy crew members took a tour of the Tesla factory in Fremont, California. Then a whole category on one of the episodes was dedicated to that Tesla visit. (h/t TeslaMondo) One of the contestants swept the category except for the final question as the others looked like they were just waiting for the next category. Have a watch:
Fun stuff. What show is next for Tesla & Elon? New Girl? Modern Family? The Simpsons? Ah, wait… Elon already appeared on the Simpsons. Always ahead of the game, those Simpsons are.

Autonomous Drones for Better Farming
I don't like paywalls. You don't like paywalls. Who likes paywalls? Here at CleanTechnica, we implemented a limited paywall for a while, but it always felt wrong — and it was always tough to decide what we should put behind there. In theory, your most exclusive and best content goes behind a paywall. But then fewer people read it! We just don't like paywalls, and so we've decided to ditch ours. Unfortunately, the media business is still a tough, cut-throat business with tiny margins. It's a never-ending Olympic challenge to stay above water or even perhaps — gasp — grow. So ...
