Traffic Light Dances (VIDEO)

Nobody likes to wait at a stop light.

That makes traffic lights the most dangerous spots for pedestrians in the city.

Smart recently changed this when it changed the figure in the traffic walk lights. Its special traffic light dances. The lights of the figure on the traffic light entertain pedestrians waiting to cross and is actually of real people dancing in real time. Smart set up a stage in a large traffic light box. People danced on the stage inside the large traffic light and that was transformed in the normal traffic lights.

The trial was quite effective. 81 % more people watched and waited at the stop lights — they even danced themselves while waiting, and smiled.

Of course, you know all this if you watched the video above. If you haven’t watched the video yet, do it!

Smart believes that ideas like this can turn the city into a better place. It sure seems like there is potential!
