I’ll be honest, I don’t see any real appeal in the Apple Watch. Then again, I don’t care for watches at all, and I don’t understand why people can’t tell the time of day, to the second, just by looking into the sky (I was serious in the first part, not the second). But I’m no closet fan of the BMW i program, and I’m happy to see that the BMW i3 and BMW i8 have already gotten hooked up with the folks behind the Apple Watch.
“BMW i3 and i8 owners who also happen to have an Apple Watch will be able to monitor their car’s charging status, available driving range, as helping you find your plug-in Bimmer in crowded parking lots,” Chris writes over on GAS2.
“You can also lock and unlock the doors with the watch, making it easy to impress your tech-obsessed date. Don’t forget, Apple is also making a push into the in-car infotainment field with Apple CarPlay, and I have little doubt the Apple Watch will somehow fit in with that.”
Purty cool. But I still have no interest in getting an Apple Watch. (Oh yeah, I don’t have a BMW i3 or BMW i8 anyway.)
