In Hawaii & want to start up an awesome cleantech company? The folks at Founder Institute (FI) may be able to help you. Founder Institute has a series of workshops coming up for people looking to jump into the entrepreneur world.

Startup Pitch Bootcamp

For example, on April 23, there’s “Startup Pitch Bootcamp.” From the FI website:

“If you have a strong idea that could be pitched more clearly, then join us for the Startup Pitch Bootcamp. In just three hours, this intensive workshop will help you improve your pitching skills and understand the components of a great pitch, providing plenty of practice until you get it right. Pitching is a key skill of every successful entrepreneur. How do you communicate your business clearly to employees, customers, and investors? What are some common pitching mistakes that make you look inexperienced? What is the best way to pitch your business?”

Details for this one if you want to attend are:

Date: 2014-04-23, 06:30 PM
Location: ZenWorx, 685 Auahi St, Honolulu

You can reserve a (free) spot here.

Founder Institute Information Session

There’s also a more generic information session coming up. Primer: “The Founder Institute is the world’s largest idea-stage accelerator. Join us for an informational event where you can meet local Directors, ask questions and learn how you can launch a startup in Honolulu with help from top CEOs, experienced peers and a structured approach. What is it like to be in the Founder Institute? Who are some of the peers that you will be working with? Can the Institute help you build your dream company?”

Date: 2014-04-30, 06:30 PM
Location: ZenWorx, 685 Auahi St, Honolulu

Reserve spot here.

Founder Night Out

Approximately a month later, there’s “Founder Night Out.” This one offers a more laid back intro to the workshops. From the website:

“If you have a startup idea or idea-stage company and you are interested in the Founder Institute program, then join us for the Founder Night Out. Meet fellow peers that are applying to the program or already enrolled, as well as the program Directors and Mentors. Socialize over drinks with other entrepreneurs at the same stage of development. Meet potential Co-Founders. Meet potential partners. Most of all, have fun!”

Again, you can reserve a spot online for free. More details are as follows:
