Norway Electric Car Sales Update (February 2014 & YTD Sales)

March 16th, 2014 by

Again, continuing electric car sales updates for major European countries, here’s one for the electric car leader everyone is most excited about — Norway. If you missed previous stories about the country, note that the Nissan Leaf and the Tesla Model S have both been the #1-selling car (of any type) in Norway a number of times. In November electric cars represented 12% of sales, and I think the percentage has risen even higher in recent months, probably in February.

After a weak January, sales of the Tesla Model S rose again, but it couldn’t take the top spot. The BMW i3 also had a much better month. But, anyway, check out this EV Obsession repost for more details:

Electric car supercountry Norway continued to go strong in February. Trumping the 1216 electric car sales it had in January, it added 1574 in February. Again, the Nissan Leaf topped the charts. Tesla Model S sales rebounded to put it pretty close behind…
