Spain & Italy Electric Car Sales Update (February 2014 & YTD Sales)

Following up on Germany electric car sales for February and the year to date, below are electric car sales for Spain and Italy, again via EV Obsession. I’m grouping them together since neither country is anything close to an electric car leader (unfortunately). Together, Spain and Italy saw fewer than 100 electric car sales in February, far fewer than Germany’s 544, the Netherlands’ 1186 (report coming soon), France’s 668 (report coming soon), Norway’s 1544 (report coming soon), and of course the 6872 sales the US saw in February.

  • Italy is no surprise considering Fiat CEO’s anti electric stance with his own 500e. He’s cutting off his own nose to spite his face. I wonder if it’s not a car culture thing in Italy given their penchant for super cars?
